Daisies on a peeling wooden surface with a horse photo pinned. Text reads "Spring Equinox 20th March". Natural, rustic vibe.

Spring is slowly returning. The light is stretching a little longer each day, buds are appearing on branches, and the air carries that subtle sense that something is shifting.

On 20th March, we reach the Spring Equinox, the moment when day and night are in perfect balance.

For many people, this time of year brings a quiet invitation. Not to rush forward, but to gently reconnect with yourself after the darker months.

Nature shows us that returning doesn’t have to be dramatic, it can be a soft unfurling, a slow remembering and a quite "I'm still here".

If you’ve been feeling lost, exhausted, or unsure of your direction, you’re not alone. Many women carry so much for others that their own needs slowly slip to the bottom of the list.

But just like the earth, you are allowed to thaw.

You are allowed to begin again.

You are allowed to take up space in your own life.

At The Mindful Yard, the horses and I hold a gentle space where you can pause, breathe, and reconnect with your own inner steadiness. You don’t have to arrive with everything figured out , you simply come as you are.

Three Gentle Ways to Rebalance Your Energy This Equinox

The equinox is a natural moment of balance, light and dark meeting equally. It’s a beautiful opportunity to check in with your own sense of balance too.

Here are three simple ways to support yourself this week.

1. Create a five-minute pause

Find somewhere quiet, place a hand on your chest, and take a few slow breaths.

Ask yourself:

What do I need today?

Let the answer be small. Let it be honest.

2. Step outside and notice what is changing

Perhaps a bud opening on a tree.

Birdsong returning.

A shift in the air.

Nature reminds us that change can be gentle and gradual.

3. Say yes to one nourishing thing

A cup of tea in silence.

A walk.

Rest.

A boundary.

A moment with a horse.

Small moments of nourishment matter more than we realise.

A Space to Reconnect

If you’ve been feeling like you’ve lost your spark, please know this:

You are not broken, you're not behind and you are not failing.

Often we’re simply carrying more than anyone should have to carry alone.

Sometimes healing begins with being witnessed.

Sometimes clarity returns when we finally slow down enough to hear ourselves again.

At The Mindful Yard, the horses offer a quiet, grounding presence, meeting you exactly as you are, without judgement or expectation.

If you feel the pull to reconnect with yourself this spring, you are warmly welcome here.

Not with pressure.

Just with curiosity.
